What are fillers?
Fillers are injectables which we use for cosmetic treatments, for filling the skin. As a result, the skin’s volume increases and wrinkles or lines are filled or lifted, depending on the approach. Fillers work temporarily but the result will last for around a year. After this period, the fillers will be broken down by the body. The treatment can then be repeated.
What happens during a treatment with fillers?
A filler treatment at Next Cosmetics Clinics will always be carried out by an experienced BIG-registered cosmetic physician. On the day of the appointment, you should arrive at the clinic 15 minutes early. An assistant will welcome you and take a ‘before’ photo. The intake session will then take place with a physician. If necessary, the assistant will apply an anaesthetic cream. The physician will assess the situation, using an ultrasound device, and advise you on how much filler is required. If another or supplementary treatment might be necessary or give a better result, they will explain this to you. The physician will then inject the filler in the appropriate area(s). They use very fine needles and the procedure should not be painful. A treatment usually takes 15 to 30 minutes. At the end, the physician will offer advice about what you should and should not do in the coming days.
Side-effects from fillers?
Once the fillers have been injected, there might be some local swelling. This will reduce after a few days. Bruising is very rare because we inject the fillers very precisely, with the help of an ultrasound device. If you do have any bruising, it should disappear within a few days. In very exceptional circumstances an allergic reaction may occur in the form of redness or itching. If this happens, please contact us.
What does a filler treatment cost?
The cost of fillers is calculated per millilitre used. How much is needed depends on the area to be treated, the current condition of your skin and the result you wish to achieve. You should know that our physicians strive to realise the most natural result possible. If you would like to realise major changes by using large amounts of fillers, we will probably advise you that this is excessive. At Next Cosmetics Clinics, we focus on quality, not on quantity!
